All published articles are made freely and permanently accessible to readers worldwide without subscription or paywall restrictions. To support high‑quality scholarly publishing and ensure the long‑term sustainability of the journal, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied to accepted manuscripts.
APC Fee
The standard Article Processing Charge (APC) is USD 1,400 per accepted manuscript.
The APC is payable only after the manuscript has successfully completed peer review and has been formally accepted for publication. There are no submission fees or charges for manuscripts that are rejected.
What the APC Covers
The APC supports the complete publication process, including:
- Initial editorial assessment and manuscript management.
- Double‑blind peer review coordination and editorial administration.
- Professional copyediting, language checking, and proofreading.
- Article formatting, typesetting, and production.
- DOI registration through Crossref.
- Online publication with immediate open‑access availability.
- Long‑term digital preservation and archiving.
- Metadata preparation and dissemination.
- Indexing and discoverability in academic databases and search engines.
- Website hosting, platform maintenance, and continuous journal development.
APC Waiver Policy
To encourage high‑quality submissions during the journal's establishment, JHSN fully waives the Article Processing Charge for all manuscripts accepted on or before 31 December 2028.
During this waiver period:
- Authors will not be required to pay any APC.
- The waiver applies to all accepted manuscripts, regardless of the authors' country or institutional affiliation.
- No separate waiver application is required.
Following the waiver period, the standard APC of USD 1,400 will apply unless otherwise announced by the journal.

Refund Policy
As editorial and production services commence immediately following manuscript acceptance, APC payments are generally non‑refundable. Refund requests arising from exceptional circumstances will be considered individually by the Editorial Office in accordance with the journal's publishing policies.
Future APC Policy
The APC policy may be reviewed periodically to reflect changes in publishing costs, technological developments, and industry standards. Any future revisions will be announced on the journal website prior to implementation and will not affect manuscripts already under consideration.
