AI Policy
The Journal of Human‑Social Nexus (JHSN) recognizes the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in academic research and scholarly communication. The journal supports the responsible, transparent, and ethical use of AI‑assisted tools while maintaining that human authors remain fully accountable for the originality, accuracy, integrity, and scientific validity of their work.
Authors may use AI‑powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or similar technologies) for language editing, grammar improvement, formatting, coding assistance, or brainstorming ideas. However, any substantial use of AI in the preparation of a manuscript should be transparently disclosed in the appropriate section of the manuscript.
AI tools must not be listed as authors or co‑authors, as they cannot meet the requirements for authorship, assume responsibility for published work, or disclose conflicts of interest. Human authors are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of all AI‑assisted content, ensuring that references are authentic, and confirming that no fabricated, misleading, or plagiarized material is included in the manuscript.
The use of AI to fabricate or manipulate research data, generate false results, create fictitious references, alter images or figures in a misleading manner, or otherwise compromise research integrity constitutes scientific misconduct and may result in rejection, retraction, or other editorial actions in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.
Editors and reviewers must not upload confidential manuscripts, reviewer reports, or editorial correspondence to publicly available generative AI platforms or any external service that may compromise confidentiality or intellectual property. Limited use of secure AI tools for language improvement or administrative assistance may be permitted, provided confidentiality and editorial independence are fully maintained.
JHSN encourages the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence to enhance research productivity while upholding the highest standards of academic integrity, transparency, and scholarly excellence.
